Three progressive WA State candidates on the 2020 ballot align especially well with Indivisible values. They are the sole Democrats on the ticket in their races. Indivisible Tacoma enthusiastically endorses these candidates to help their campaigns in this tough year.
Here’s another way to learn more about the candidates: The Progressive Voters’ Guide. Select “Choose My Guide” from the menu bar to find your local races. (Note: The Guide is produced by FUSE, and not all progressive views are represented in their work.)
The Primary ballot lists soooo many candidates, but progressive voters will focus in on these:
Marko Liias, Chris Reykdal, Mike Kreidler, Gael Tarleton, Mike Pellicciotti, Hilary Franz…
They are running in VERY important statewide races. Not all are familiar names, but they are worth our work.
Let’s get the word out about Marko Liias, running for Lieutenant Governor. He would step into the Governor’s position if Gov. Inslee were called to serve in a Biden administration. Liias, progressive majority floor leader in the state Senate, will know what to do! The current Lt.Governor, Cyrus Habib, enthusiastically endorses Liias.

Call your senators and urge them to pass the Heroes Act.
The coronavirus crisis is not going away, and will continue to impact our lives for the foreseeable future — and the Senate still has refused to move the Heroes Act forward. There are no excuses for the inaction of the Senate. Call your senator today and urge them to pass the Heroes Act ASAP.
Will there be any relief for the millions of people losing their health insurance (because they lost their jobs)?
ORGANIZED BY BLACK LIVES MATTER Seattle King County
Friday, June 12
Black Lives Matter Seattle King County is calling for a statewide general strike, protest march, and day of action in support of all Black lives in Washington State on Friday, June 12th.
Supporting the dismantling of anti-black systems and policies of oppression is fundamental to the kind of social justice which is at the heart of Indivisible Tacoma‘s core values. Our place is with our communities of color who for centuries have suffered at the hands of structural racism and white supremacy.
For those not participating in the physical March, Friday will be a day of actions.
Instead of your usual Friday activities, do one or more of the following:
Donate to: Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County https://blacklivesseattle.org/donate/
Mask up and wave signs on busy arterials, physically distancing
Contact a local official to urge anti-racist police training and body camera implementation
Make art – sign, banner for marchers or your porch

Indivisible Tacoma is entirely staffed by volunteers working to realize bold progressive policy. That’s why we love it when people help. The funds support technology, voter outreach, and other expenses. Huge thanks to all who’ve donated!
