Join The Conversation 253 in collaboration with other community groups, including Indivisible Tacoma, to hear about the impact of these distribution centers, those proposed locally, and what we can do to protect our communities.
Mega warehouse distribution centers continue to proliferate. Neighborhoods most impacted are often already overburdened and formerly redlined. Increased vehicle traffic affects our health, safety, and the climate. Paving countless acres of land reduces our access to trees and wetlands while threatening our aquifers.
There will be a panel discussion followed by Q&A.
Panelists include
Sally Perkins / Les Pogue Jr /
Michelle Mood / Victoria Leistman / Dr. Annemarie Dooley
We hope you can join us in person:

Join Indivisible Tacoma as we meet with the Senator’s staff to hear her perspectives on what is happening now in the US Senate. What can be achieved with the slim Democratic majority, and what are Sen. Cantwell’s priorities?
We will express our deep concern about accelerating Medicare privatization and other profit-over-patients trends.
More topics: the debt ceiling, expanding Social Security (take off the CAP,) corporate pressure against environmental protections, and our hope for gun safety, just policing, and reproductive rights policies at the national level.
The Legislative Action Team’s primary role is to meet with our Members of Congress or their staff, as well as our WA State Legislators and others who represent us locally.
We all have to stay informed and speak up. Please join us!
