Trump & Co. are chomping at the bit for making war on Iran. First, Team Trump violated the Iran nuclear deal. Then, they started priming the public with bellicose noises. Now, they’re trying to provoke a reaction from Iran. Remember the weeks leading up to the war in Iraq. Yep, it feels kinda like that.

We’re still alarmed by Trumpworld’s efforts to use their powers of office to punish their political enemies. Last week, we learned that Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani planned to travel to Ukraine to pressure their government to open an investigation into Joe Biden, a Democratic presidential hopeful. We then learned that Trump also wants Attorney General William Barr to open an investigation into Biden. We know where this road leads: in fake elections in dictatorships like Russia and Turkey, ruling parties investigate and jail their political opponents in order to damage them or disqualify them from the ballot.
