We’ll see statewide candidates once each month and Legislative or Congressional candidates on the other Tuesdays.
Last Tuesday, we all learned tons from Hilary Franz! Whatever you were watching on TV… this was so much better! Participants even asked, “Can we keep going another half hour???”

All citizens must be able to vote safely. The virus already has endangered voters in places like Wisconsin. Let’s get busy!
From DemCast…
Last Thursday, April 30th, 50 partner organizations held a Digital Rally calling on Congress to protect our elections.
Over 6,000 people participated and generated over 85,000,000 million impressions on social media!
The coalition is asking for common sense, ensuring the right of every eligible voter to vote safely, and ensuring the health of everyone, from the voters to the poll workers.
What we want:
Expand Vote By Mail
Expand Early Polling Locations
Expand on-line voter registration and same day voter registration
Turn out voters:

Meet the LD28 Candidates THIS Tuesday!
Meet Rep. Mari Leavitt, running for her second term for Position 1 in LD28! She defeated an incumbent Republican in 2018 and already has established a strong record of action in the WA Legislature these last two years.
We were sorry to lose Rep. Christine Kilduff who decided not to run again, but she is endorsing Dan Bronoske, a West Pierce County Fire Fighter for her Rep. Position 2 in LD28.
And we introduce T’wina Nobles from the UP School Board who is stepping up to challenge Republican Steve O’Ban for State Senate!
LD28 could go either way. Let’s turn it completely blue!
Please pre-register early to make sure you get the link to get in to the LD28 Town Hall: Register HERE

Any forthcoming legislation to address the impact of the coronavirus must include an additional $11.5 billion in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funding.
This combined with the $4 billion previously provided in the CARES Act will reach the funding level needed to expand access to emergency shelter, short-term rental assistance, and housing stabilization services.
ESG funds should also be used to provide medical respite care, outreach, and street medicine for people experiencing homelessness.
Tracking Federal Funding – Follow this LINK to Denny Heck’s bill, providing $100B for emergency rental assistance.

Over 3,000 doctors and nearly 800 advocates have been sounding the alarm for weeks that people in immigration detention are sitting ducks in a system notorious for its fatally flawed medical care and abysmal conditions that only worsen in times of crisis. People detained inside are refusing food to show the urgency. The government can and should release all people from detention immediately.
Phone calls you can make TODAY to demand a stop to new transfers to NWDC, to prevent new apprehensions by ICE, to release all detained people (starting with pregnant people, people over age 60, and people who are immunocompromised), and to shutdown NWDC – Senators, Representatives, State and local officials!
