The Mueller report confirms what we’ve always known: Trump abused his authority, violated the law, and tried repeatedly to obstruct justice. These are impeachable offenses. If Attorney General William Barr has proven anything, it’s that he’s a political operative whose priority is protecting Trump, not our democracy. It’s up to Congress to do what Barr will not.
With control of the House, Democrats should use their investigatory power to begin investigations into whether Donald Trump has committed crimes that would justify his impeachment. Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s resolution is a good step forward.
